The NordWest Art Foundation

The NordWest Art Foundation provides support for interdisciplinary creative experimentation and pushes the boundaries of today's art-making.

NordWest Art Foundation's mission is to promote cultural understanding and dialogue through artistic endeavors, primarily in the field of painting. The Foundation's programs are intended as a means to facilitate cultural exchange and to support the work of promising artists at all stages of their careers.

Advised by institutional partners, the NordWest Art Foundation tries to identify potential climbers in the art scene and attaches particular importance to long-term support, including the care of the estate. These selected artists are supported with a range of individual measures. The program aims to provide artists with a nurturing platform at every point in their careers and also promote better positioning in the complex globalized world.

The primary goals and tasks of the NordWest Art Foundation can be formulated as follows

Promotion

Promotion, development and support of contemporary visual art, especially painting.

Comprehensive support

Comprehensive support and promotion of the work from selected artists, archiving and support of exhibition activities, publication of catalogs, processing of museum and gallery inquiries, publication of catalogue raisonné, etc.

The construction/acquisition

The construction/acquisition of real estate for the creation of art workshops, the renovation, refurbishment and operation of these facilities as art workshops or centers for the purpose, for example, of holding art workshops.

Financing

Financing of exhibition projects, services and expenses in this regard.

Financing the production processes

Financing the production processes for the creation of objects of visual arts, the purchase of artistic materials, the payment of services and travel expenses in this regard.

Financing artist scholarships

Financing artist scholarships, not related to concrete work results or to the realization of specific projects.

Cooperation

In addition, cooperation with institutional organizations is sought, as well as participation in government programs.
